Why Cultural Treks?

A trekking holiday with Cultural Treks & Expedition is very much a social occasion. A day never goes by without sharing a laugh with your friendly Nepal trek crew, meeting other trekkers, or lively conversations with the rest of the group at meal times.

On trek we get up at daylight, laze in the sunshine after leisurely lunches, and enjoy a relaxed pace of life. Rest stops simply happen–perhaps because of a tempting teahouse at the top of a long hill, or to watch some grazing yaks. We are never in a rush, which means there’s always plenty of time to relax and enjoy the many facets of Himalayan life that surrounds you. New and fascinating cultures, friendly and hospitable people, the word’s greatest mountain range- it’s a complete and totally absorbing experience.

Cultural Treks use spacious tents that you can stand up in – two people to a tent that can easily hold three. We provide high quality down – filled sleeping bags and two thick sleeping mats for a comfortable night’s rest, however better to have and bring your own sleeping bag. A dining tent, complete with table and chairs and a toilet tent are set up at reach campsite. It’s your job to do the walking and take the photographs – while our trek staff takes care of all the camp duties and portage.
